I'm gonna be sore tomorrow

Tonight was my first "real" workout since Bostyn was born. GOOD GOD. I love to work out and when I do I push myself hard. If I'm not sore when I walk out of the gym, I don't feel like I did anything worth my time. I wasn't exactly sore when I was done, but I couldn't really walk, so I figured that was good enough! I'm looking for partners to work out with! My friend Amber from SLCC was my workout partner before and we're going to start working out again soon. She hasn't worked out in a while either I think, so hopefully when we do work out, she'll be even more out of shape than I am and I won't feel as crappy (love you, Am). Ok I'm going to go shower. And maybe throw up.

Pilates this Saturday, anyone?

My Cancer's definitely a water baby!

Can I just tell you how much Bostyn LOVES baths?! The second she hears the water running, she gets all excited and bouncy. Tonight when she saw her bath, she clapped her hands together for the first time! And then when she got in she was all over the place...sliding back and forth, trying to crawl on slippery tub, drinking the water... we're going to get her the cutest bikini for swim season. Raging Waters EVERY Friday this summer! Who's with me?!

Noah's newest obsession

Edamame. He loves to pop out the beans and sprinkle salt on them. Then he scarfs them down by the handfull.

Skateboards. He got 2 for Easter and he's been trying his best to learn how to skate. We're going to take him to a skate park when the weather gets warm and who knows, maybe Chris can show him a few tricks (LOL)! *sigh* we're in for a LOT of broken bones in the future.

I LOVE my kids

So we're all driving to Target earlier today. Chris and I are talking and Noah is chiming in now and then. After a little while I realize that we aren't being interrupted and there is COMPLETE SILENCE from the backseat. Bostyn was way overdue for a nap, so I figured that she was asleep, but....what about Noah? I look over my shoulder and I see Noah and Bostyn reaching out to each other, holding hands. Noah is just looking at Bostyn and smiling at her. I stopped Chris mid-sentence and told him to look back and he grabbed his phone for me to take a picture. Noah and Bostyn definitely have their moments where they don't exactly get along ("NO BABY, don't eat my car!") but 98% of the time, they just love each other, play together, smile and laugh at each other, and give each other hugs all the time. Bostyn is just learning how to give kisses and tonight when Noah gave her a hug good night, she didn't even wait for her kiss, she just plopped a wet one on Noah's face! They're so damn cute, we love them so much!

Infant Tylenol/Motrin addict

My favorite Noah pic

It took me a little while to post this picture due to computer problems, but I can't resist! On Easter Sunday, Ron and Mo got all the kids kites and even though the wind wasn't blowing, we decided to go out and fly them anyway! At one point Ron drove his truck and a few people just sat in the back, flying away, until Noah's fell on the ground and broke. But now flying kites is one of his fave things to do! Check out how CUTE he is!

Margie's birthday dinner

Here's a few pics from Texas Roadhouse, where we went for Margie's birthday dinner. It was a lot of fun! Just 2 tables away from us, 2 police officers were having dinner too, and Noah was TERRIFIED of them! He wouldn't even come over to me because I was sitting closer to them than he was. After we left the restaurant and were walking out to our cars, one of the police officers came up to Noah and asked him to wear a jr. deputy badge for him (he was super nice) but Noah wouldn't even touch it. After we got in the car, he asked me where the cop cars went and he finally took his badge. After only a minute, he gave it back to me and told me he didn't like it! Oh well, he'll come around eventually.

Someone Put Their Face Where My Hand Was!!!

In n effort to be a "hero" I shattered my pinky's metacarpal. I also messed up the joints in my ring and middle finger. So for the next eight weeks or so I will be writing with my left hand. No Bueno! And unfortunately I will never be able to go hiking, lean down and cup my hand to drink from a mountain spring ever again, I guess it's a good thing I never hike. Well typing with the left hand stinks so incase i don't see ya, Good Afternoon, Good Evening, And Good Night! XchrisX

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARGIE!!! We hope today was a super special day for you and we hope you had a great time at the spa, we only wish we could send you there more often! You work really hard and give a lot of your time to everyone else so today was a day just for you (although you did come over to watch the kids for a bit still...) and it was only a fraction of what you deserve! We love you very much. Love all of us

Don't run over my husband...

Meet Chris's new mode of transportation to and from work. It's not the super fast scooter he wants, but he got this AWESOME bike over the weekend and he's going to start riding his bike to get super buff (not just buff, SUPER buff!) So if you happen to be driving down the road between 4-5am or 5-6pm, please watch out for my man and don't run him over! Thank you.

Opening Day 2008

Friday April 11 was opening day for the Salt Lake Bees! We were mostly excited to go because this was Bostyn's first baseball game (totally fitting considering that Chris is a HUGE Red Sox fan and he likes to think that is how Bostyn got her name...not true, it's just really super cute!) Unfortunately, the rest of the family was unable to go, but we made the best of it on our own. Noah was, not kidding, exhausted from running around and hiking at the dog park all day with Aunt Arn and Uncle Matti, so he was ready to go pretty much right after we sat down in our seats. But he quickly perked up so I went to the concession stands to get our food. After standing in line for like half an hour, I finally got back to our seats and dropped Noah's hot dog on the ground! So Chris took a turn and bought Noah a new hot dog. We left in the 7th inning because it was getting late and way too cold! It wasn't too late to stop and get "a cold treat" for Noah- there is a new Gelato place just down the street from our house and the flavors are amazing! (Red Orange is our favorite) Noah slept good the whole night and well into the morning and as soon as Chris got home from work Noah asked him if the ballpark was open, he was ready to go again! We will definitely be going soon, we've been looking forward to baseball season for a long time. Side note: Chris and I are making a trip to Seattle Memorial Day weekend to see the Boston Red Sox play against the Seattle Mariners. It's going to be a great game!!!

Bowling 101

Last weekend we took Noah to FatCats to play "vimeo dames" and go BOWLING!!! This was the 2nd time Noah has gone bowling in his lifetime and he totally kicked butt! Final score:

Noah 70
Chris 111
Cara 101

It was tons of fun, Bostyn even cheered us on. After bowling we played TONS of games. Noah's favorite game is Deal or No Deal. No matter what the offer is, Noah always yells out "NO DEAL!" Bostyn got to pick the number of each case we opened and it all worked out pretty good, we won over 1000 tickets and Noah got himself a remote control car. We hope to make this a family night out with the Wilker and Matistappen clans soon.
